Induction assessment - Marmite advert

This advert was created by marmite. At the beginning it attracts your attention with suspension by only giving you a glimpse of the marmite logo on the van and by dropping in words like “recue team” which makes the audience wonder what it is going to be about. Also when you see the family crying over a marmite jar it creates humour so you will want to carry on watching it. They also make it seem like a real TV program such as when they go round finding Animals that have been neglected but instead they are recuing forgotten marmite jars. This may make some people feel said because of the resemblance between the two.

Every lifestyle is shown in this advert such as a family, old gentle man living by himself and a young couple. So this means many people can relate to it and is not very stereo typical. Which also means it makes people think if they have a marmite jar in the cupboard that they have not used and then will go and find it

The message in the advert is very clear it even says it right at the end; “Love it. Hate it. Just don’t forget it.” Many people will perceive this message as don’t just forget about it, eat it or if you don’t like it give it to somebody else who does. This is a very clever marketing stunt and everybody will see the message in the same way, it gets them thinking about marmite so maybe the next time they go shopping they may get some if they haven’t got any or people will eat what they already have and then will go buy some more. So in summary this advert is very effective and sends out a precise message to everybody.
